One Application, Three Opportunities
The Nevada Police Fondation is proud to continue our commitment to education through the 2026 First Responder Scholarship Award Program. This year, we are awarding three individual scholarships to outstanding students of our first responder family.
- One (1) $1,000 scholarship for those seeking a degree in a criminal justice field;
- Two (2) $500 scholarships will be awarded for any field.
Who Can Apply:
Eligible applicants must:
- This scholarship is available to any Qualifying Child, as defined under applicable IRS rules, of a Law Enforcement Family residing in Nevada. Law Enforcement Family means a family in which at least one parent, legal guardian, or spouse is a sworn law enforcement officer employed by a federal, state, county, or municipal law enforcement agency within the State of Nevada.dependent as defined by IRS rules (son, daughter, stepchild, eligible foster child, adopted child, under age 19 or under 24 if a full-time student, receives more than half their financial support from you, or a spouse) of a law enforcement family from anywhere in Nevada.
- Be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, trade school, or vocational program during the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Demonstrate academic achievement (minimum 2.50 GPA).
A completed application must include:
- The 2026 application form
- A copy of your most recent report card or transcript
- Three letters of recommendation
- A 1000 word essay on why this scholarship is important to you and if applying for the $1000 scholarship, (Criminal Justice), why does law enforcement matter to you?
