The Nevada Police Union and the Nevada Police Foundation provides support in many ways to state police officers and their families.
The Story Behind the Thin Blue Line Memorial Golf Classic
It started 22 years ago by Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers. It has grown into an event people can’t wait to attend every year. At our tournament, the memory of each and every fallen officer is honored by our Memorial Hole Sponsors. Through the generous donations of these sponsors, annual college scholarships are awarded to the high school seniors of state police officers that provide those students with an opportunity to further their education. This tournament also helps fund programs for officers and their families and the Nevada Police Foundation.

The tournament includes 18 holes of golf, an awards luncheon, raffle prizes, fun on-course activities, team awards, and other contest prizes. Each player receives a tournament bag including a tournament ball cap, a tee gift, free merchandise/offers from our sponsors, and other items.

Fun Activities
We have many other activities happening on tournament day that you can participate in. These include our Closest to the pin, Golf Ball Launcher event, Longest Drive, and $10,000 Hole-in-one contest.

Reservations are required for additional luncheon guests. We will not be able to hold any reservations without lunch payment..

The Nevada Police Union’s purpose is to advocate and provide support to our members and their families. The Union provides support for our members who have been seriously injured and provides emergency assistance to the families of our fallen. We take pride in supporting our members in difficult and tragic time.
Our memorial tournament is a tribute to the Nevada State Police Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Each of our fallen state troopers and officers are honored through the dedication of a corporate hole sponsor in their memory. Memorial signs are placed on the t-boxes with a fallen officer’s name and the sponsor branding. The tournament also awards annual college scholarships in honor of our fallen troopers and provides much needed support to all current and retired state police officers. We will be providing gift bags to the golfers which will allow for any of your promotional materials and/or items to be included. All of our sponsors are recognized not only at our tournament, but also in our social media posts, website, and member newsletter.
